Chandini joined AIWI in September 2025. She works on how AI safety concerns raised by insiders are handled — both the internal mechanisms that determine whether those concerns are heard and acted on, and what happens when insiders go public.
Her research at AIWI examines internal accountability systems and identifies indicators of safe and effective reporting channels. She has also benchmarked frontier labs’ speak-up policies against best-practice frameworks, and studied individual whistleblowers from AI companies. She co-led the production of AIWI’s case studies web resource, tracing the impact of their disclosures on the whistleblowers themselves, the companies involved, and subsequent regulatory developments.
Before AI governance, Chandini spent over four years at a London architectural consulting firm, managing high-stakes projects for C-suite and government clients. She has a BA and an MPhil in History.
